Volunteer time:

Get involved with Dress for Success Saskatoon by volunteering as one of our stylists. Our stylists work with two other volunteers to personally impact the lives of our clients by providing them with interview and employment attire. These stylists work directly with our clients to create the perfect outfits that suit the unique styles and needs of each client. This is an incredible experience where stylists see firsthand their impact on our clients.

How you can help

Item Donations

We accept any clean and gently used women’s attire that can be used in a Saskatoon workplace (please see our Wish List). Most commonly, people think of suits, skirts, and tops but our clients are working in a variety of jobs and the need encompasses everything: professional attire, business casual, “black pants and white button-down”, scrubs, and everything in between! Our drop-off locations are located at Conexus Credit Union at their 8th Street or Circle Drive locations during their business hours. Just ask at the reception desk and they will gladly take your items!

More Ways to Help

The majority of the apparel we provide to our clients is received from women in our community. Hosting a suit drive is a great way to support Dress for Success Saskatoon. You can plan a campaign at your company, school, place of worship, or association. Or you may want to get together with a group of friends who want to make a difference. Organizing a suit drive can be a creative and collaborative team-building exercise. Even more important, it is a way to support women in our community and help them take a crucial first step towards a better future. Your support can make a difference. For more information on organizing a suit drive please contact sponsorship@dfssaskatoon.org.

More about us

Community Impact

We believe that by building up a woman’s agency and knowledge, better synergies between gender equality and economic sustainability are realized, enabling her to generate a long-term impact in both her private and public life. Poverty often affects women the most, and its effects on them and their families can be long-lasting. Therefore, addressing women’s needs is central to improving the quality of life for not only that woman but also her family, future generations, and her community.

Financial Breakdown

Financial donations allow us to provide our clients with free professional attire as well as offer programming that extents beyond our suitings. Our financial donors assist Dress for Success Saskatoon to best serve our clients and community and ensure we are always able to help our clients who are in need find good jobs and support their families.

Our Philosophy

Our vision is a world where women do not live in poverty. We strive for a world where all women are financially independent, are treated with dignity and respect and are directly impacting their lives and those of their families. We aspire to a world that fully harnesses the power of women and recognizes their role in economic sustainability.

Programs and Services

Dress for Success Saskatoon provides each client with professional attire to secure employment, but we are about much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with the confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
