Financial gifts

Your Donation will go directly to our programming. It will fund volunteer training and support. This will then support our community as we support those on their end of life journey. Providing them with Quality of life where ever they call home. Thank you!

What we need:

Volunteer time:

Volunteers and clients are matched based on interests and personalities. Once matched, clients meet with the same volunteer, developing a trusting relationship. Volunteers provide a criminal record check, interview by our team, and complete a comprehensive training program. Volunteers offer approximately four hours a week of time. The volunteer and client establish a schedule that works for both parties.

More about us

Community Impact

Each month we support 100 clients and families during their end of life journey. 20% of our clients have no family present to support them at this time. Last year alone our volunteers gave over 4000 hours to the community. We support these individuals in finding quality of life at end of life.

Financial Breakdown

All of our services are provided free. Our work is made possible thanks to financial support from community members. We do not receive any government funding. All donations go directly towards funding our programs to our clients. We provide supports and ongoing training to our volunteers in doing this work, our volunteers are the heart of our organization. CUISR did a study of our work showing that for every $1 donated the community gets $3.46 to $11.68 social return on their investment.

Our Philosophy

Our goal is to enhance quality of life at the end of life, wherever people call home. We provide one-on-one non medical companionship at no cost to the individual. We raise awareness and educate the community and advocate for quality end-of-life care. Supporting those to live until they die. We believe that people who are at end of life want to live their lives to the fullest extent possible. We try to help them be in the moment and experience joy in their lives.

Programs and Services

We provide these services: Hospice without Walls, a program providing a one-on-one volunteer to journey alongside people facing death, providing non-medical care. Hospice Now, a service that provides urgent respite or transportation . We provide grief and bereavement support after the death, offering the next of kin a safe environment to grieve. Our volunteers will often simply “be there” – sitting quietly with our clients.
