More about us

Community Impact

Our programs provide many different impacts in the community, from ensuring people have access to nutritious food and household items, to ensuring people have their taxes done and have the opportunity to learn about growing and cooking food. The focus is on asset building and fostering resiliency. Our programs measure impact by different means, but most importantly we think about strengthening assets.

Financial Breakdown

Financial donations fund all aspects of our organization including programming, and staff costs, operating costs, and support to those we serve.

Our Philosophy

We operate from a community development perspective with these four values first and foremost – respect, collaboration, compassion, and innovation. We serve folks who live in poverty, who have multiple barriers to employment and who need to access no cost programming. Our purpose is to strengthen our community by providing nutritious food and creating learning opportunities. We work collaboratively to inspire an inclusive, poverty-free community.

Programs and Services

Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre provides emergency food hampers, workplace experience programming, literacy programming, nutrition programming, an urban agriculture program, no cost income tax preparation. We deliver programming in our facility, at our garden patch, and at locations in the community.
