More about us

Community Impact

At Lung Saskatchewan we work to deliver on our mission: to improve lung health one breath at a time. Our commitment to improving lung health in Saskatchewan began in 1911 during the tuberculosis epidemic that swept across the province and Canada. Today, we continue to fight for the 1 in 5 people in Canada affected by lung diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, and now COVID-19. Our programs and services focus on protecting lung health, preventing lung disease, and ensuring that the resources are available for people who need them. Your generous gift will enhance the lives of individuals and families affected by lung disease in our province.

Programs and Services

St. Mary’s Community School is the first in Canada to have an in-school pediatric clinic. The clinic is a partnership between the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, and the Saskatoon Tribal Council. The Lung Association provides breathing tests (spirometry) and asthma education to the students and families at the clinic, and we are proud to partner and provide service. We offer online support groups.
