More about us

Community Impact

Last year we served more than 8000 people! We provided a safe living space with wrap around supports for over 300 vulnerable women and children. We helped people find work, increase their marketable skills, and secure housing. We provided a loving and enriching place for young children to learn and grow and we helped hundreds of people live an active, healthy lifestyle.

Financial Breakdown

Financial donations support all aspects of our organization from staff and operating costs to programming. We take stewardship of our donor dollars very seriously and strive to allocate funds in the most impactful way. We use an outcomes-based approach to measure impact in the community. Each of our programs track key outcomes and the number of individuals served.

Our Philosophy

Our mandate is to nurture the well-being of women, girls and their families by providing inclusive supports. We meet women where they are at and operate from a people first, trauma-informed approach. Trauma-informed care is a more engaging and respectful approach to client care especially with people who may already feel broken, unwanted, or unlovable. Our ultimate goal is to create a safe space for all clients within a trauma-informed framework.

Programs and Services

The YWCA Saskatoon provides a safe, welcoming place for women and children in crisis. We provide wrap around support, programming and longer-term residence for women and youth struggling with mental health and addictions. We also offer extensive employment and learning programs for those wishing to increase their skillset or train for a new career. The YWCA operates a 62-spot early childhood learning centre and an inclusive fitness facility.
