How you can help

Financial Donations

Become a Village Member!
Give $20, $50 or $100 monthly, or make a one-time gift

$20 a month will provide 15 bottles of baby formula

$50 a month will provide diapers to every child in the house for one day

$100 a month will provide meals to every child in the house for one day

Any donations we receive are used in the home, given to the families we assist or are passed along to other Saskatoon organizations.

We are really in need of winter clothing for children, particularly larger sizes.

We are unable to take cribs, car seats, or adult clothing.

Community Impact

Between our two programs, close to 1000 families a year are supported to be successful. Preventative services can be invisible, but they have a big impact. When a family is in the middle of a emergency or crisis, or they are not coping with the day to day, the situation can spiral. Child protection services are expensive, but can often be avoided completely with timely, tangible support. We all benefit when families are supported to be successful.

The big picture is that the love of family is critical to children’s success in life. When parents have the right tools, they feel more confident in their parenting, leading to success.

Our Philosophy

When families ask for help, we are here for them. Through our programs, the Haven Kids’ House and Haven Family Support, we provide tangible support to families to ensure that families can stay together and thrive. Through preventative respite and active intervention, we work together to strengthen and preserve families. Families belong together.

Programs and Services

Haven Kids House (formerly Crisis Nursery) is a 10 bed home offering preventative respite to families in crisis. 1000 kids a year come through the doors of the nursery and their families are given a parenting break or emergency childcare during a life crisis. Haven Family Support offers in-home visits to families to learn positive parenting skills in order to be successful. For support call (306) 242-2433
