Every year, local leaders, like One Small Step cofounder Gregg Bamford, take part in a challenge here in Saskatoon to live as if they are homeless for 36 hours. This gives them a glimpse of the struggle that so many people in our city face every day, and fundraises for the programming that Sanctum Care Group offer as one solution.
This winter, Gregg is doing the challenge again. Facing frigid temperatures, he knows he gets to go home at the end of the 36 hours, unlike the people he meets. Many of the charities you can find on One Small Step participate in the challenge, helping us as a community understand better the work that they do and how they do it.
